Notes on Making a Bimbo Transformation Game: Day 8

in which our heroine's little side hobby has become a bit of an obsession

Hello, darlings.

I got carried away. Don’t worry, we THINK this is gonna prove to be a good thing. We’ll see. I figured I’d offer ALL my subscribers another little peek in what’s going on with this amusing little text game, which is currently called The Bimbo Room (the title girl has the day off, sorry, we’re workshopping.)

As for what it is? It’s a fully interactive text adventure game in which you can wander into a body transformation speakeasy and have… a bespoke experience of becoming someone spankably hot and fun. The little teaser is on Day 8 of eating up my life here.

So why am I doing this as a text adventure and what exactly is my plan, here?

Well, it’s a couple things, to be honest. I’ve seen a lot of games with spicy content that never get finished or look kinda bad and that’s for legitimate reasons, because censorship makes it harder to sell those things or let them find an audience. So it all comes out fairly mid. Or the ambitions of game developers get the better of someone and it gets out of control and no one ever finishes.

So this is a happy medium because text is as high resolution as your imagination, and the systems can actually be pretty deep and customizable. There’s not just an underwear drawer, there’s a whole alignment system that ranks your choices against your archetype and personality which has stat consequences on your character sheet. And as you can see from the screenshot, there are 10 possible Archetypes (think character classes in D&D), and then there are OUTFITS that can be worn that are tailored to the character you create.

I’m deeply amused by this, and it’s so much more personal than just doing a choose your own adventure or a visual novel. The clothes are also in a gacha system I just built that might get expanded greatly in a bigger game.

Squee? Yes. Squee.

Like I said, I’m very amused.

I’ll post some actual publishing stuff soon, including a few parts of the Vella serial, but for my PAID subscribers, there’s a little extra detail I’ll always include at the bottom from now on. Hope you’re all out there surviving.
